Between 4-10 October 2017 is World Space Week. It is one of the biggest space events and there are more than 1,800 events taking place in 73 countries acknowledging the fascination of space. Cunard has put together a special week long Space Week Cruise.
You will stay 2 nights in a New York hotel. You will visit the Rose Center for Space at the American Museum of Natural History and a VIP tour of the Hayden Planetarium. The tour ends with a visit to the Intrepid Museum of Air, Sea and Space and step on board an aircraft carrier with exhibits such as Concorde, space shuttle and a submarine.
On this cruise you will learn all about space aboard the beautiful Queen Mary from New York to the UK. This voyage is for seven nights with special lectures and talks from Jeffrey Hoffman (a NASA astronaut), Ken McTaggart (technology consultant in astronautics), Stephen Attenborough (Virgin Galactic Commercial Director) and Charles Barclay, Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society.
There will be two special shows in the only Planetarium at Sea.
